After that, she interned as a strength coach at the Sanford POWER Center and later was hired as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She then went on to complete a fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. She became a Board Certified Sports Specialist through the APTA in 1998, and was recertified in 2008. She has worked with professional and collegiate athletes, as well as recreational athletes.

After graduating from North Dakota State University, Kathy completed her training at the Sanford POWER Center in Chicago. She went on to complete her B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. She then became an Olympic medical volunteer in Atlanta in 1996. In 1998, she became a Board Certified Sports Specialist through the APTA. She was recertified in 2008, which means she is currently practicing at a level of high expertise.

After completing her Bachelor of Science degree at North Dakota State University, Kathy received her Certificate of Advanced Education. After completing her residency, she completed her fellowship program at the Sanford POWER Center as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She was also selected to be a medical volunteer at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Afterward, she became a Board Certified Sports Specialist through the APTA. She was recertified in 2008 and is a licensed physical therapist in the state of North Dakota.

As a certified athletic trainer, Kathy is an excellent candidate for a job in Fargo ND. She played basketball for the Bison and later worked at the Sanford POWER Center as a strength and conditioning specialist. She developed training programs for several age groups and camps. She will be moving from her current position as a strength and conditioning specialist to a position as a Physical Therapist Aide in May 2020. As a certified athletic trainer, she hopes to help people achieve their full potential.
